I had a wonderful opportunity to visit and learn Traditional Thai Massage in Thailand in October of 2004. The curriculum revealed more than just an agenda of earning a Thai government-certification in a modality of massage therapy that I wanted to learn: it also revealed first-hand knowledge and experience about the origins of and reasons that the Thai people developed Traditional Thai Massage; it revealed a place where “doing the work” is a labor of love. Although it was Monsoon Season there, we had nothing but beautiful weather and a wonderful time experiencing the local culture and people. I dream of returning someday soon - with my camera and a lot of time.
